Pricing questions

An opening, a replacement key and a new lock can all begin with the same words: I can't get in. The estimate needs to describe the work behind the request.

01

Ask what is included

Have any visit charge, labor, parts and necessary setup explained as part of the proposed total. A part price alone doesn't tell you the cost of a finished repair. This page doesn't publish a fixed price list or an offer.

For a car key, ask which functions are included: door access, starting and remote buttons. For a rekey, name the cylinders and the number of new keys. For garage door repair, ask which components and operation checks the estimate covers.

02

Leave room for an explained change

Some details become clear only after the hardware or vehicle is assessed. Ask what could change the estimate and whether extra work will need your approval. If a new part or method is proposed, understand the reason and revised total first.

03

Make your request easy to price

Call 704-200-2257 with the location and a plain description of the problem. Mention a working spare, an inaccessible outer door or damaged hardware, as appropriate. The estimate guide has more questions to use before agreeing, including the North Carolina individual-license check.
